CHILDBIRTH EXPRESS EXPECTANT PARENT WORKSHOP

Join us as we host renowned doula, Bonu deCaires, for a two-part workshop on labor and delivery.
This condensed, fast paced workshop is a wonderful introduction to childbirth education, as well as a way to get to know some other local expectant parents. The workshop will also serve as a practical review for those expectant parents who may have already taken a childbirth classes - but who want information updated to current Covid-19 realities.
This workshop will give expectant parents the tools to navigate the extraordinary process of labor, delivery, and childbirth. We will cover:
• Signs and Stages of Labor
• When to go to the hospital
• Basics on hospital options and medical care
Via Zoom Live Group Workshop [Recordings are not enabled to respect privacy of participants]
• Overview on coping options
Bonu deCaires is a Certified Cooperative Childbirth Educator, through the Childbirth Education Association of Metropolitan New York (CEA/MNY), and a Certified Labor Support Doula and Labor Doula Trainer, through Doulas of North America. She holds B.A. in Biology from Amherst College, and a Master's in Nutritional Science from The University of Massachusetts. Bonu has completed a year of post graduate coursework in Anatomy and Physiology, and certified in adult and infant CPR and neonatal resuscitation. Bonu has taught thousands of doulas at teacher trainings, hundreds of parents at childbirth ed classes - and most importantly, served as a doula to over 600 women.
