PREPARING FOR CHILDBIRTH

with Bonu deCaires

Childbirth Educator, Certified Labor Support Doula and Labor Doula Trainer, Bonu deCaires, joins us for another special event aimed at supporting expectant mamas.

These past weeks have made many expectant mamas re-examine their birth plans and their support systems.
From changing hospital policies, to health concerns around Covid-19, to planning for the birth - there are a lot of new variables to factor in.

This evening will focus on talking through a variety of questions that expectant mothers may have:

- What is the hospital birth experience like at the moment
- Alternative birthing locations: birthing centers, home births
- Working with a labor doula during Covid-19
- Preparing for childbirth
- How to advocate for ourselves and our babies
- Early signs of labor
- When to go to the hospital or birthing center
- Pain management during birth
- Interventions during labor
- Covid-19 and breastfeeding
- Covid-19 infection while birthing
- Planning your post-partum support system while social distancing

Bonu will help support expectant HRP Mamas so they may feel empowered for their birth experience.
