Mindfulness: What is It? How Can it Help My Family?
Mindfulness
is the ability to be in the present moment (non-judgmentally) with full awareness so we practice being more connected to
ourselves, each other, and our world. Mindfulness can be practiced in infinite, creative ways, by both adults and children. In addition,
mindfulness is used to help people be more in control of their emotions, and manage anxious and sad feelings.
Please join Dr. Lindsay
Brand from the
Child Mind Institute
for a presentation and conversation that will teach you the full definition of mindfulness, how it is
practiced and can benefit you and your family, and ways to make it enjoyable and fun.
Participants will be lead through examples of
easy-to-follow mindfulness exercises, and have the opportunity to ask questions on the topic.
