The World through Your Child’s Eyes, 2-5 years old

WITH TOVAH KLEIN Ph.D.

The world looks and feels different right now - to all of us, but seeing the world through the eyes of your child helps shift the way we parent. Focusing on our innate ability to relate to our children is about making life easier and more enjoyable. Dr. Tovah Klein, will join us live on zoom to discuss the developmental underpinnings and why toddlers and young children do what they do and how we can see the world through their eyes.

The toddler years (ages 2-5) are a time when children begin to separate and form a sense of self. As they discover who they are and the world around them, their desire to make decisions and have control escalates.Your child is trying to make their way in the world, and it is not always easy. Especially in our current reality.

Welcoming a new baby? Dr. Klein will discuss this transition and how it is related to sibling rivalry and bonding for life.

Dr Klein will share insights and strategies for making these tender but tough-at-times years less rocky.

Does your child:

- Act sweet one moment and demanding the next?
- Dawdle and drag out bedtime?
- Use No! and Mine! as favorite words?
- Refuse to say hello or responds with a 'sassy' attitude?
- Ignore your requests completely?
- Insist that only one parent will do?
- Play well with siblings one moment & fight the next?

Dr.Klein will provide tips for setting reasonable limits at this age - and in the current reality of social distancing.
Our goal is to help prevent battles, avoid shaming children, and to empower both the parent and the child.
