HRP Mamas Invites you to a workshop on:

Connecting Biology to Eating Habits - Toddler Years Through Preschool

with Chelsea Nutrition

Join the registered dietitians of Chelsea Nutrition for an informative and interactive session on feeding your toddler and preschooler. Feeding children these ages can be challenging as they start to develop their own personalities and food preferences. This is also an important stage of their lives as they start to develop positive or negative relationships with food. Understanding behavioral aspects of development can help parents navigate this challenging period of growth and development and Chelsea Nutrition will provide tips and tricks on optimizing nutrition for your little ones. Floor is open for questions and sharing experiences.

Parents will walk away with:
  • Connecting the dots between development and eating behaviors
  • Intake goals for key nutrients and how to incorporate them into diet
  • Recommendations for portion sizes and fluid/milk intake
  • Practices for fostering a healthy relationship with food
  • Strategies for picky eating and food refusal
  • Understanding “Division of Responsibility” methodology

ABOUT CHELSEA NUTRITION:

Chelsea Nutrition is a nutrition and wellness private practice focusing on adult and pediatric nutrition in NYC. Our approach is to cut through the nutrition noise and spell out the most up to date, evidence based pediatric nutrition recommendations. With the understanding that every family is unique, we empower parents with realistic strategies to provide optimal nutrition from infancy through adolescence.

Angela Carullo has her Master’s Degree in Clinical Nutrition from New York University’s Steinhardt School of Culture, Education, and Human Development.  She completed her dietetic internship at New York-Presbyterian Hospital, after which she stayed on as a Pediatric Fellow.  During her fellowship, she further developed her pediatric skills, including developing healthy eating education materials and child-friendly recipes, as well as providing care for pediatric oncology patients.  She went on to specialize in Pediatric Medicine, Cardiac Nutrition Support and Critical Care.

Angela has a wide range of clinical pediatric experience working with children of all ages including infants and toddlers through adolescence.  From solid food introduction, picky eating and poor weight gain to tube feeding support and food allergy management, Angela has the expertise to offer you and your child an individualized nutrition plan.  Angela’s evidence-based approach and years of experience can help promote great nutrition for children of all ages regardless of feeding ability or medical diagnosis.
